Beta 914 Notes

• The FONT and BASEFONT tags make SILLY FONT EFFECTS possible.

• The Tab and Shift-Tab keys navigate in a form, and Enter submits a single-edit form.

• Beta 913 implements concealed loading, basic authentication and HTTP proxy support. Source, text and hyperlink extraction methods have been added, along with many new properties and a load completion event.

• The 32-bit OCX accepts http URLs (over winsock), local files or container-supplied HTML text and images. It runs under Windows NT and Windows 95 -- multithreading precludes Win32s. All other schemes result in a status of "Failed to connect". The 16-bit version does not accept http URLs yet.

• Use the button to browse local files or enter a URL directly. You can also select a URL (thus loading the page) via the PageURL property (in the Vogon Poetry browser, press the button to display the properties dialog).

• The button displays a screen with status information for the currently visible page. This screen also presents page capture and pure-text capture buttons, and shows the HTML source. The same button displays a useful help screen when clicked from internal pages (session history, directory, this page).

• To copy a hyperlink URL to the clipboard, click the right mouse button over it (this works in the URL and Title bars too).
